GBRW 2020 update 1  July 20
GBRW 2020 update 2  Oct 20

Hello Rally Participants

We at Club Marine Geographe Bay Raceweek have had numerous requests to include sailors who would like to be involved but for whatever reason prefer not to race - we’re OK with that.

The more of us using our boats the better.

The Rally will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 16th Feb 2020 with a start at about 14.00 and will last 3 hours.

How it works.

You HAVE to download the NEBO app ( otherwise we can’t mark you!)
You can use your engine – but points will be deducted!
There will be about 20-30 virtual buoys set just off the environs of the racing courses - your job is to round these buoys and accrue the most points. The points value differs according to their relative positions. You tell us your points tally.
You return to GBYC and download your course and we will check it against our NEBO master plot.
There are prizes.
Some of you may wish to participate for more than 1 day – we will ascertain how this will work when we know numbers.
Prize if a fish is caught!

This isn’t GBYC being pedantic it’s just the world we live in. Because we are inviting you and running an event, we are deemed responsible. The Club has to pay a massive hike in premiums to run GBRW.

We have 9 “verbal” entries – Cost is $50 per day. CLICK here to download registration form.

The Club office is not manned full-time, so a little patience for email replies would be appreciated. Please DO NOT direct any of your GBRW enquiries to either the Marina or RPYC.

We look forward to enjoying your camaraderie, yachting skills and like all race organisers, we will take the credit if the breezes are good and blame a higher authority if they’re not.

Cheers and Best wishes,
Yours in Sailing
