The Geographe Bay Yacht Club is running a Learn to Sail course in December (see below for details). Sailing can be fun and exhilarating and this Australian Sailing accredited program has been developed to provide a safe introduction to dinghy sailing.

"Start Sailing 1" is designed to teach participants how to sail, starting with the essential skills in the first course. More advanced skills and techniques are gradually introduced as students progress through the syllabus, so that by the end they will be ready to start racing at their local sailing Club, or just enjoy being out on the water.

"Start Sailing 1" is a great introduction to sailing, suitable for ages 12 years and over.

It is fun, safe and doesn't require any previous sailing experience. All equipment, including boats, sails and life jackets is provided. All courses are run by Australian Sailing accredited coaches.

The course is comprised of three by four hour lessons (total 12 hours), run over two weekends and is highly recommended for anyone wishing to learn to sail an off-the-beach sailing dinghy.

Dates: Sat 2 Dec; Sun 3 Dec; Sat 16 Dec (plus Sun 17 Dec - if any scheduled days are cancelled due to weather conditions)

Time: 8.30am - 12.30pm

Cost: $190

Venue: Geographe Bay Yacht Club, King Street, Busselton
